- Photograph caption dated December 25, 1962 reads, "Model of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway now on display for the public to view at the main branch of the Bank of America located at 7th and Spring streets, Los Angeles. The model is a replica of the $7,700,000 Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which is now under construction and due to open in May, 1963. The Tramway will transport passengers from a valley base station in Chino Canyon over 2,600 feet above sea level to the eastern escarpment of Long Valley at the elevation of 8,516 feet."
