- Photograph of two women on a mountainside overlooking the Coachella Valley, ca.1930. A woman stands on the rocky cliff in the left foreground while a second woman in a hat sits beside her. A large number of fields lie across the view below. In the middle, at center, the El Mirador Hotel in Palm Springs (now, the Desert Regional Medical Center (as of November 2014)) can be seen. Mountains stand across the background. Originally, the photograph was captioned as "View of orange groves in the San Fernando Valley, from Mulholland Drive, seen by two girls sitting in the mountains in Southern California, ca.1930".
