- Photograph of a view of tree-lined Palm Canyon near Palm Springs, ca.1901. The canyon is at center and is bordered by rocky slopes. At right, the wall of the canyon extends very high and is much steeper than the left wall. A calm river can be seen at the bottom of the canyon at center. Dense stands of palm trees can be seen on both sides of the creek.
