- View from an area of Palm Canyon, located near Palm Springs and on the reservation of Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. While the area lacks shade trees, there is an abundance of California Fan Palms (Washingtonian filifera). These palms are believed to have originated in the Miocene Age.
