- Aerial view of La Quinta from the north; view is looking southwest. Dwellings are sparsely scattered on plotted sections of land, and Fritz Burns Park, located on Avenida Bermudas and 52nd Avenue, is visible left of center near the upper grid. Even though several lush orchards are sprinkled throughout, the area still appears to be very arid. The large road curving at bottom right corner is Highway 111. Photograph dated November 17, 1956.
