- Photograph caption dated January 19, 1957 reads, "One of massive B-52 strato-jet bombers stands in background as 27 crew members who made first nonstop jet flight around world in 45 hours and 19 minutes line up to receive distinguished Flying Crosses from Strategic Air Commander Gen. Curtis LeMay. Flight demonstrated to world that Air Force has capacity to drop hydrogen weapons on any point in world." Ceremonies were held at the March Air Force Base.
